7 Power Traits for Highly Effective Leaders

There is no dearth of material on leadership. This is perhaps the most discussed topic in the corporate world. Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People or most recent Strengths Based Leadership, by Tom Rath and Barry Conchie, almost all management experts agree that leaders have some unusual instincts that others do not possess. They are intuitive; they are somewhat super human beings!

These experts generally agree that there are few common denominators for Effective Leadership. These common denominators are the energy source for these leaders. There could be variation in the degree of these traits in each individual, but somehow the logarithm remains that enable them to exercise the Leadership Skills.

These are:

1. Integrity
2. Knowledge
3. Influence
4. Manifestation
5. Charisma
6. Courage
7. Communication

Look around you and see how many “Leaders” have these Common Denominators. I am afraid you will not find many!
